Robyn Kaplan Ginese (’08) Presents for Genius Labs at 2015 ACPA National Conference [March, 2015]

Robyn Kaplan Ginese (HESA Class of 2008) recently presented with Genius Labs at the 2015 ACPA National Conference in Tampa, FL. Genius Labs selects experts to share their insight and knowledge about new technology in the field, and Robyn was selected due to her expertise with social media. Robyn spoke specifically about how to use Twitter to benefit assessment, communication, and program development efforts on campus.

Congratulations again to Robyn, and we are proud of your ongoing contributions to the field!


Kevin Corn (’12) Receives Award from NASPA Knowledge Community [April, 2015]

Kevin Corn (HESA Class of 2012), recently received the “On Campus Service Award” from NASPA’s Men and Masculinities Knowledge Community.  By receiving this award, Kevin’s peers recognized his efforts in making positive impacts for college men on his campus, improving the development of socially just leadership for college men on campus, and increasing college men’s involvement and engagement on his campus.  More details about this award, and other Community Awards sponsored by the NASPA Men and Masculinities Knowledge Community, please visit NASPA’s website.

Additionally, Kevin recently presented at the NASPA National Conference in New Orleans, LA. With Richard Boehman, Dean of Richmond College at the University of Richmond,  Kevin’s co-presented, ” ‘I am’ – A Framework for Helping College Men Navigate Authentic Masculinity.” Congratulations again to Kevin on this well deserved award, and we hope to hear even more recognition of your efforts in support of college men!


Kathy Andrade (’13) Recognized for Commitment to Campus’ Student Government [April, 2015]

Kathy Andrade (HESA Class of 2013), recently received the “William R. Butler Administrator of the Year Award” at the University of Miami. Each year members of the University of Miami Student Government select a staff member who deserves recognition for their excellence as an administrator and for their tireless support of student success. This award was named to honor the efforts of former Vice President of  Student Affairs William R. Butler, a fixture in the University of Miami’s history who’s devotion to service and civic engagement still resonates on campus.

We would like to congratulate Kathy for this recognition, and we are confident that her students and colleagues will continue to express their appreciation for her efforts in supporting students and other campus community members.


Sutha Kanagasingam (’13) to Present at Great Lakes Counseling Psychology Conference [March, 2015]

Sutha Kanagasingam (HESA Class of 2013) recently finalized her first research poster in relation to her Doctoral studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Sutha presented this body of research at the Great Lakes Counseling Psychology Conference at Ball State University. The Conference ran from March 27-28, 2015, but this specific poster presentation will took place from 1:00 -1:50 PM on Friday, March 27.
