Dr. Cheryl Barnard

Dr. Cheryl Barnard, VP and Dean of Students at the University of Saint Joseph, came to EDLR 5113: College and University Environments during the week of February 1, 2016. She spoke about the unique nature and environment of religiously affiliated women's colleges, specifically in the context of the University of Saint Joseph.

Dr. Daisy Reyes, Assistant Professor of Sociology at UConn, spoke in EDLR 5113: College and University Environments during the week of February 1, 2016. She spoke about her article on the effects of institutional styles on the political identities of Latino students.

Julia Yakovich

Julia Yakovich, MPA, the University Program Manager of Service Learning in the Office of Public Engagement, was hosted by the class of EDLR 5117: The College Student, on February 1, 2016. Yakovich led a conversation with the class about using reflection as a teaching strategy for increasing student learning, specifically in service learning, her area of expertise.
